About Outlook Remedies

Cristi Jensen, Herbalist

Cristi’s journey with natural health began back in 2006 when she became pregnant with her first child. She worked in a small, locally owned health food store and had access to a plethora of reading and study material. She has two daughters, both raised holistically. She graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2013 and is a certified Holistic Health Coach. Her own personal healing journey has been pivotal in her learning process. In 2008, Cristi had her first experience using flower essences and it was so profound she has used them ever since. She now makes her own using flowers that grow all around the pristine mountains of NW Montana. She has spent the last 5 years studying alongside a master herbalist giving her the opportunity to work directly with plants and flowers, learning proper identification and ethical wildcrafting skills. Cristi is in awe of all the medicine that nature provides and it is her life's work. When she is not out in the woods wildcrafting she is still outside hiking, backpacking, cross country skiing, or mountain biking. She loves spending time with her husband, daughters and her dog, Anna. If she has to be indoors she enjoys cooking, baking and crafting.

When you purchase from Outlook Remedies, you are getting remedies that are higher in quality than mass-produced big stores and are also higher in potency. We wildcraft only what we need of each herb/root we use every wildcrafting season so that our tinctures have a strong vitality. Some tinctures are made using fresh plant material which makes for a potent and amazing product! The tinctures we make that are not wildcrafted herbs are always organically grown. Our fire cider is made in small batches using only whole and fresh ingredients and a handful of organic dried herbs and rose hips. Our flower essences are made using mostly wildflowers growing in the mountains around NW Montana where the energy of nature is powerful. Other flowers are from organic gardens of fellow herbalists and friends. We take pride in all of our products!

Wildcrafting is the art of identifying and gathering medicinal plants from the wild. The Rocky Mountains in NW Montana offer endless, pristine wilderness rich with many different species of botanicals. It is of utmost importance to wildcraft ethically to ensure the regeneration of the plants used.

Where the name “Outlook” comes from…

An old, weathered small house or shed with a gray exterior and white-framed windows, surrounded by greenery and trees.

In the summers of 1997 and 1998, Cristi lived in a little cabin in the woods along Lake Michigan while working as a cook/dishwasher at a family camp. The cabin was called the Outlook and is home to the creation of her deep love and connection to nature.
